Emergency Support

If you are feeling very distressed, suicidal, or want to harm yourself, know that help is available. Talking to someone else about how you feel can make a big difference. Try to confide in a friend or family member that you trust. Alternatively, contact your family doctor or GP, who will be able to support you and put you in touch with specialist mental health services.

If you have already harmed yourself or feel that you cannot keep yourself safe, call emergency services (999 in the UK; 112 in Europe) and go straight to the nearest hospital Emergency Department. It's better if you can ask someone else to call for you or take you to the hospital.

If you feel very distressed and need to talk to someone right away, if you are in the UK or ROI, call the Samaritans free on 116 123. The Samaritans offer support 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Additional information, including other ways to contact the Samaritans, can be found here: https://www.samaritans.org/wales/how-we-can-help/contact-samaritan/
